Extrude Effect

Step 1

Open illustrator, go to File - New – Click OK.

Step 2

Select Type Tool, drag the cursor (it will create a box), choose font type and font size and write what you want. I have written HOPE.

Step 3

After writing, select it, go to Type- Create Outlines, to alter the letters, like you can increase or decrease the size of fonts. You can change the color of the text if you want to.

Copy that by holding the ALT key.

Step 4

To Extrude, go to Effect- 3D- Extrude and Bevel. See the settings below carefully.

First, Change the position to Front, now you can click and drag on the cube for extrude effects or can change the rotation angles.

Increase or decrease the Extrude Depth accordingly and Click OK.

Lock it after done with extrude.

Step 4

Now, come to the copied part, click on it and then right click, select Ungroup.

Place these letters one by one above the extrude text and adjust it.

Step 5

Now, we will place image on each letter to make it more beautiful, for this, go to File- Place (select image whichever you want) - OK.

Click on Embed.

First on letter H as shown in image, keep the image behind the letter H.

Select the letter H and the image, go to Object- Clipping Mask- Make. The image will take the shape of the letter H.

Repeat the process for each letter.

At last, unlock the extrude text layer and Group all (CTRL+G).
