3D Logo

Step 1

Open illustrator, go to File - New – Click OK.

Step 2

Draw a Square of size 100 x 100 pixels and fill gradient color and make it radial.

Step 3

Click on Gradient Tool, and drag on the square to adjust the gradient color like below in the image.

Step 4

Go to Object- Rasterize- (option bar opens, see settings) Click OK.

Step 5

Go to Object- Create Object Mosaic- (option bar opens, see settings carefully as in image) – Click OK.

It will create mosaic pattern.

Step 6

Now, save this pattern as a symbol, to do this, go to Windows- Symbol – drag this pattern to the symbol palette- Name it – Click OK.

Step 7

Now, draw a Circle of size 100 x 100 pixels and fill solid color (red color as in gradient in square). Make a copy of this circle by press and hold the ALT key and drag it.

Step 8

Select the circle and click on the Direct Selection Tool (A). Double click on the left side anchor point and delete it.

Step 9

Go to Effect- 3D- Revolve. See the settings below carefully.

Step 10

Now, click on Map Artwork just next to the preview option.

Step 11

Click on invisible geometry (just above cancel option). In the symbol option, click on the symbol of mosaic pattern that we made earlier, adjust it by increasing or decreasing the size and check whether it covers the circle, if not then move it and adjust it and Click OK and again OK.
